Whenever I read regional newspapers from other EAC nations, there is something I cannot help but notice. Around this period, traders of all ilks decide to raise their prices without any reason other than they know that customers don’t have a choice but to buy their products.

That’s why I was pleasantly surprised to read in the Christmas edition of The New Times that prices had remained stable.

I think that is a wonderful thing. I want to thank the traders for their understanding.
