KARONGI – One person was yesterday killed in a fatal road accident which occurred along the Kigali-Karongi highway.
Francis Rwasibo, the driver of a salon car which rolled off the road at about 9pm sustained serious head injuries and later died at Kibuye hospital.

Rwasibo who was also the driver of Kibuye hospital ambulance had his car overturn several times before hitting the fence of a nearby house.

The exact cause of the accident could not be established by press time. However Police indicated a likelihood that Rwasibo could have dozed off while driving at a relatively high speed.

Police have warned the general public against careless use of the roads especially during the festive season in which road accidents are always on the rise.
