MADE CALL: Commissioner General of Police Emmanuel Gasana

The Commissioner General of Police, Emmanuel K. Gasana has called upon Rwandans to be vigilant during this festive season and refrain from vices that could endanger the public.

In a Christmas message delivered from police headquarters, Gasana urged citizens to be mindful of their security and that of the country in general.

He called upon road users especially drivers to abide by traffic regulations like avoiding over speeding and driving while drunk.

"Celebrating this festive season and enjoying with friends and family is good but it is equally important to avoid things that can cause harm to the public as a result of enjoying too much,” a message from the Police Chief read.

He called upon religious groupings involved in night prayers not to inconvenience the general public.

Gasana urged the public to instantly share with police any information on anything that may pose a threat to their safety. The police toll free lines are 112, 113 and 3512.
