Olivier Karekezi can’t wait to take Helsingborg to the knockout stage of the UEFA Cup when his Swedish club hosts FK Austria Wien at Olympia stadium tonight.

Through an e-mail, the Amavubi Star skipper said that Helsingborg is prepared to win in order to qualify for the next round of the Uefa Cup.

"It’s a crucial game for us because we have to win to qualify to the next round. A win today would comfortably see us through to the next round regardless of the result in our final game against Bordeaux,” Karekezi explained.

The former APR star gave a valuable contribution to his club in the qualifying rounds, scoring two goals but has been an unused sub in the last two group ties.

Helsingborg has amassed four points from its opening two ties. After being held to a 1-1 draw against Panionios GSS in the opening game, the Swedish side secured a 3-2 win over Galatasaray to stay second in the group.

Helsingborg’s Henrik Larsson is the joint top scorer in the Uefa Cup alongside Panathinaikos' Dimitrios Papadopoulos. The pair has scored five times since the start of the first round.

With Christoffer Andersson and Omotoyossi serving one match suspension, Helsingborg coach, Stuart Baxter could prefer a striking partnership of Karekezi and Larsson.

In the other group H fixture, Panionios hosts Galatasaray.
