I watched APR’s dream of reaching the final of the Fiba Africa Club Championship get dashed on Sunday, 84-94, by defending champions Primeiro de Agosto of Angola. Angola has the number one ranked team in Africa and to lose to their best club team by a measly ten points isn’t a disaster.
In fact, I think it shows just how much Rwandan basketball has moved forward. I want to thank the coach and the team for their splendid run. We’ll do better next time.
