As the Christmas season closes in prices of goods especially food stuffs tend to hike which makes it quite difficult for many of us to go shop for the big day.

Since Christmas Day centres mostly on food and drink, we have to find places where we can buy the best for our families without draining our bank reserves.

While some shopping places raise the price of their goods, there are those that have offered some discounts on so many of the products this time round. So you will get somewhere to buy food stuffs at relatively low prices.

In the Kimironko market you will find almost everything you want for this season. The price of chicken is between Rwf3500 and 4000, goat’s meat at Rwf2000 a kilogram, beef at Rwf2200, beans a kilogram is at Rwf600, and groundnuts are at Rwf1000.

Because you cannot get matooke at the supermarket 15 kilograms can be bought at Rwf1700, onions a kg is at Rwf400, tomatoes at Rwf500 a kg, French beans at Rwf350, you can also get a big pumpkin at Rwf1000.

You can get 5litres of Cooking oil is at 4700, olive oil a litre at 6500  and aluminium foil wrapping papers at 1000, paper plates at 1800, Italian pasta at 800.

Vinegar is at 500 a small bottle, Nido is at 3500 a kilogram, and 5kg of maganjo maize floor are at 3500, and millet floor can be got at 1400 a kilogram peanut butter can be found at 2200 a tin.
