Ok, he’s not a newcomer per se, but 2009 is the year we are taking singer/songwriter Jean Claude Yamuremye, a.k.a. Dr. Claude to our hearts. After conquering all the local FM stations with his golden and blessed voice, Dr. Claude has got us hooked. Believe it or not, Dr. Claude is a celebrity. He has released three solo albums, including his most recent one “2020 Vision”, which is more cocky and electro-popping.

After conquering all the local FM stations with his golden and blessed voice, Dr. Claude has got us hooked.
Believe it or not, Dr. Claude is a celebrity. He has released three solo albums, including his most recent one "2020 Vision”, which is more cocky and electro-popping.
Dr. Claude says that his "2020 Vision” is aimed at sensitizing Rwanda’s youth to develop visions and work towards achieving them because they are the future leaders.
‘My album encourages the youth to participate in the development of the country,’ said Dr. Claude.
‘Vision 2020’ has eight tracks, including ‘Ndasobanukiwe ikerekezo’, and ‘Ubuyobozi byiza’, which have already captured the airwaves.
The singer was born in Bujumbura to a Rwandan mother and a Burundian father. He grew up in a musical family. His mother was a singer in a Church choir and his brother Desiré Nziza has made it big in the music scene in Burundi—he is now based in the US.
The ‘Contre success’ singer is a former member of 2 Boys. He is organizing a grand launch for his "2020 Vision”album scheduled for early next year.
