THE national rugby team captain Benjamin Makombe thinks that the way the team organises their defence will be key when they play Burundi in the Confederation of African rugby (CAR) Development Cup return leg in Bujumbura tomorrow afternoon.
Silverbacks won the first leg 12-6 but they will be coming up against a determined Burundi team that will be buoyed on by their home fans, and it is a situation that Makombe is keen to avoid considering that the Burundian forwards are very powerful.
"We have to be on our toes from the very start, because if they take a considerable lead, then their fans will drive them on and that will make things difficult for us,” the 24-year-old said.
The team leaves this morning at 8:30am.
Silverbacks: B. Makombe, B. Ngizwenayo, S. Mwiseneza, J.L. Twizeyimana, D. Kamali, J. Muba, E. Nemeye, F. Nsengimana, I. Ahorukomeye, L. Bikamba, J. Gatabazi, D. Mugabo, M. Cambara, O. Uwamahoro, V. Kamali, S. Kabura, L. Muhurire, S. Nkurunziza, F. Habumugisha, A. Ndahirwa, F. Mugisha and B. Ruzibuka.
