Robert Muyenzi is the project coordinator of Orphan and other Vulnerable Children (OVC) in Gisagara district. It’s a Red Cross Rwanda project aimed at supporting children with education and other areas. Below he shares how he spends the weekend:

I start the weekend late in the evening on Friday at about 6p.m.  Being married, I get home to interact with my family.
On Saturday, I am up by 6a.m to go for sports. I go riding for about 2 hours and get home for breakfast. I also visit some members of OVC project.

I have lunch at 1p.m. It comprises matooke, posho and beans. If I happen to have friends to meet, it’s after lunch. Some friends do visit me, too.

I go to Credo hotel in Huye town to enjoy the evening either with friends or my family. We make the best of it and usually leave between 8 and 9p.m.

On Sunday morning I go for church service until 10. I spend the day at home mainly listening to music, watching movies and preparing for a busy Monday.

That makes my weekend perfect.
