Today, Rwanda National Olympic Committee (RNOC) elects its new Executive Committee. The elections which have been postponed three times this year will be held at the national football federation headquarters in Remera.

Following the recent visit by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Africa National Olympic Committee Associations (Anoca), all parties involved reached an agreement for a "roadmap” that will promote positive and constructive developments in the Olympic movement and sports in Rwanda.

The Jurisdiction and Ethics committee was mandated to hold the elective general assembly in serenity in a spirit of reconciliation within the RNOC.

This is the time for sports federation to cast their votes for able, competent and efficient members who will work diligently for the development of sports in the country.
It is also time for sports administrators to get out of the intrigues trap and work for the development of sports.

Emphasis should be put on the promotion of a good working relationship with the Olympic movement, in partnership with other local and international sports bodies.

It’s only through good working relationships among the relevant parties that the development of sports in Rwanda will be achieved.

 Personal interests should in no way interfere with, not only the day-t-day running of sports administration, but also the long-term development of sports in Rwanda.
