KARONGI – Youths in the country have been called upon to be disciplined and patriotic in order to achieve their goals.

The counsel was made yesterday by Bernard Kayumba, the mayor of Karongi district while addressing about 336students who are currently undergoing civic training in Bwishyura sector.

"You are future leaders and a lot is expected from you. It is important that you protect yourselves bearing in mind that the bright future of this nation solely lies in your hands,” Kayumba said.

He reminded them of the country’s tainted history and challenged them to redeem it.

Over 1000 students in Karongi district are attending the training at three different sites. The training is expected to end December15.
