Cabinet yesterday approved the opening of two Rwandan embassies in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Nigeria.

The meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame gave a green light to the opening of a diplomatic mission in Abuja, Nigeria, making it the 8th Rwandan Embassy in Africa and in Abu Dhabi, UAE in the Middle East.

In a related development, the Cabinet also approved Hatanaka Kunio as Japan’s envoy to Rwanda with residence in Kigali. Sugandi Yudhistirano was also approved as the new Indonesian Ambassador with residence in Dar es Salaam.

It also approved Luis Javier Campuzano Pina as Mexico’s envoy to Rwanda with a seat in Nairobi and Cameroon’s Martin Ayafar Chunggong with residence in Addis Ababa.

Bezarel Hezi was also approved by the Cabinet to be Rwanda’s Honorary Consul in Israel.
