Minister cautions on poor classroom construction

The State Minister for Secondary and Primary education has called upon the Bugesera district officials to follow up on the schools where classrooms were poorly constructed in the district.

Dr Mathias Harebamungu who had toured different schools in the area attributed the poor construction of schools to the negligence of some district officials.

ONATRACOM gets new buses

Government owned transport agency ONATRACOM has imported more 35 buses to ease transportation around Kigali City.

According to the Esdras Nkundumukiza, the Managing Director of ONATRACOM, the 35 buses will only operate in Kigali city.

He added that importing the new buses to supplement what they already had was in the interest of the general public.

Women get cows

Women in Burera district were on Tuesday given 23 Friesian cows under the One Cow Per Household programme.
Wilson Ntaganira, an official from programme urged the women to take good care of the cows to enable them get better yield from the animals.

Under the same programme, 22 other cows were also given to women in Bugesera district.
