While presenting the judiciary achievements before local authorities in Musanze, JMV Hitimana, the president of the Musanze High Court noted that the delay in enforcing court orders affects justice and leads to constant appeals.
"Justice delayed is justice denied,” Hitimana said. He urged local leaders and local mediators to always mitigate causes of conflicts in the society while fostering unity and reconciliation.
The president of Musanze Intermediate Court Isabelle Riziki said the court has managed to clear a number of pending cases that had accumulated over the past five years.
Statistics from the courts showed that robbery and rape cases are the highest committed crimes in Musanze, while in Burera, the problem of illegal drug trafficking was rated highest.
