RUSIZI — The ministry of finance last week donated 36 motorcycles of Yamaha type to sector executive secretaries and agronomists.

Mayor Jean Pierre Turatsinze, who received the consignment, applauded the Finance ministry for the donation saying it would ease movement and improve on general service delivery among the recipients.

"I really thank the Ministry of Finance for providing our district with such new motorcycles because transport has been a problem to the group,” he said. "I am optimistic that this would enable the beneficiaries to always execute their duties in time and help us improve our performance in general.”

However, Turatsinze noted that the motorcycles were loaned to the district and the beneficiaries would repay the loans by deducting Frw50,000 from their monthly salaries with the ministry expected to cover 50 percent of the total cost of the facility.

He noted that the district would buy more motorcyclists for other district employees.
Gilbert Rukazambuga, one of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude over the new facility saying it had solved his movement to and from the district.
