WITH Kigali Cricket Club (KCC) already through to the Utexrwa Cup final, Indorwa boosted their chances of snatching the remaining slot after Sunday’s emphatic win over Right Guards.

Led by Rwanda’s international all-rounder Samaly Subashish, the Indian-dominated side made light work of Guards.

Subashish, who is enjoying a good run of form with the bat, bashed his way to a quick fire 85 to help his side to a defendable score of 178 runs. In response, Guards posted 109 gifting Indorwa a 69run-victory; their second of the campaign.

Earlier in the day, KCC kept their unbeaten run intact after cruising to a fourth successive win. The four-time Sulfo league champions claimed a five-wicket victory over a weak Young Tigers’ side.

Without their top stars (Andre Kayitera, Eric Dusabemungu and Bob Songa), the youngsters could only post 104.

KCC raced home with five overs to spare after good knocks from Nadeem Kawa (36), Mehboob Jasat (21) and Shezad Nooran (19).
