RWANDA’S football body, Ferwafa has set December 27 as the election date for the new executive. The out-going Ferwafa boss, Brig. Gen. Jean Bosco Kazura confirmed that the elections will be held during the federation’s extra-ordinary general assembly which will also tackle several other issues concerning local football.

The out-going Ferwafa boss, Brig. Gen. Jean Bosco Kazura confirmed that the elections will be held during the federation’s extra-ordinary general assembly which will also tackle several other issues concerning local football.
Posts up for gabs include; president, vice president, treasurer, technical commission, commission for security, arbitrary and Fair Play, competitions & discipline Commission, finance and marketing, commission for women football and commission for youth football development.
Kazura assumed Ferwafa’s top seat after an overwhelming 100% win against Emmanuel Ngango.
Other out-going executive committee members include, vice president Veduste Kayiranga, treasurer-Bernard Itangishaka, Eugene Rukundo (technical commission), assistant commissioner of police Steven Balinda (commission for security), arbitrary and Fair Play) and Boniface Nsabimana (Competitions & Discipline Commission) and Raoul Gisanura (Finance and Marketing).
Some of Kazura’s achievements include; starting up the Amavubi football academy, hosting the 2009 U-20 African Youth Championship and winning the rights to host the 2011 U-17 African Youth Championship.
His low points include Rwanda’s failure to qualify for the 2008 and 2010 Nations Cup.
