ANOTHER football academy, Sports Empowerment Club (SEC) has started its search for talented youngsters, who will constitute the academy which starts operations in January, 2010.

The SEC president Augustin Munyandamutsa told Times Sport mid this week that the aim of the academy is to elevate the quality of local football.

"We want to develop the sport from the grassroots which is why we are concentrating on under-15 players,” Munyandamutsa emphasized.

"It’s a three-year project and we hope that by the end of this period, we shall have quality players.”

The academy, which will be based at Kicukiro College of Technology, will start with 30 youngsters.

It will also have a branch in the Northern Province town of Rubavu.

The final selection will be held in Kigali on December 9 and it will be conducted by four coaches Aloys Kanamugire, Abdul Mbarushimana, Jean Baptista Kayiranga and Donatien Nsenga.

SEC is the fourth football academy in Rwanda after Ferwafa, APR and SC Kiyovu.
