Police in Gisozi are holding one 17-year old woman on suspicion of stabbing her 35 year old husband to death on Tuesday night.

According to police, Grace Faida stabbed Innocent Kayumba at about 10pm after a domestic fight.

Police spokesperson who confirmed the murder and the subsequent arrest said that Faida killed her husband accusing him of mistreatment and beating her every time.

Faida who is detained at Gisozi police post got married to Kayumba two years ago when she was 15.

Sources say the deceased who was a drunkard would beat up his wife every time he came back home accusing her of adultery.

"He would beat her up even during the day that he was having an affair with other men,” a source who preferred not to be named said.

A neighbour to the couple’s home in Ruhango village reported the murder to the police.
