Editor,

SACKING Branko Tucak may seem sad to some people but as an Amavubi team fan, dismissing him is a bit late. He should have been sacked earlier at a time when our country lost away to Egypt in Cairo during the 2010 World/Nations’ Cup qualifiers.

The Ministry of Sports and Culture gave him a shoulder to lean on and sometimes forgot to wake him up to perform his duty thus losing out on qualifying for next year’s Nations’ Cup finals due in Luanda, Angola in January.

Now that he has gone, let’s put our brains together and give our own talents a chance to accomplish the dream of taking our country to her second Nations’ Cup final appearance in 2014.

We relied on foreigners and you all saw what kind of harvests they brought to the nation. They only took away our taxes, what a shame.

Put the investment in the youthful talents; give them those hefty cash prizes that you normally set aside for foreigner players, whom you call talented players; you never know what mighty and positive results will be achieved in the shortest possible time.
