For some secondary schools, the holidays are just two weeks old. Although holiday makers get excited to come home for the break, at a certain point a long holiday becomes hard to stand. This calls for proper planning that makes each day a new one.
Jean De Dieu Mubiligi, 16, is a senior five student at Green Hills Academy. He says that even though some students believe the holiday is long, he still has a lot to accomplish and this is what makes it short.
Mubiligi is writing "Based on my course, I must make sure that I write a well researched and detailed essay of about 4000 words,” Mubiligi said.
"I even have some personal issues to engage in that I believe are important, but I have limited time.”
Alain Kirenga, 16, is in senior five and says one way to make the holiday interesting daily is to properly plan for it.
"I make a plan for the holiday, so that I avoid being redundant becoming bored,” Kirenga said.
He explained that whenever one is busy, it is not easy for such a person to get bored, mostly if they have interest in what they do.
Innocent Nduwimana a parent of four said that children should be kept busy but they should be given enough personal time to do the things they enjoy. This he said is what makes them understand and discover who they are.
