29 join APR football academy

APR has named 29 youngsters, who will join the club’s football academy in January, 2010. The selected players under the age of 15 were picked over the weekend after a week-long final selection process held at Nyamirambo stadium. The academy is aimed at nurturing good, skilled and strong players for local clubs and the senior national team, Amavubi Stars.

APR has named 29 youngsters, who will join the club’s football academy in January, 2010.

The selected players under the age of 15 were picked over the weekend after a week-long final selection process held at Nyamirambo stadium.

The academy is aimed at nurturing good, skilled and strong players for local clubs and the senior national team, Amavubi Stars.

The 29 were picked from a group of 142 youngsters.
Besides football, the academy will offer parental care, accommodation, education among other services.

APR football academy is the third academy after Amavubi and Kiyovu football academies.

Ex-German international and coach of the national women’s team Andreas Spier has been contracted to manage the academy’s team.

The selected youngsters include; Pacifique Tuyizere, Fiston Buzizi,Evode Manirambona, Yannick Mukunzi, Innocent Gafishi, Sudi Murangira, Jean de Dieu Mutabazi, Jean Leonce, Ngabo, Eric Rutanga, Seth Museveni, Rachid Kalisa, Jacques Rutayomba, Fiston Nkinzingabo, Cedric Iratwijihije, Kakira Sulayemani, Janvier Benedata, Maxime Sekamana, Augustin Kaneza, Nova Bayama, Theoneste Hitimana, Elie Patient Nshimiyimana, Jules Niyigena, Abdul Rwatubyaye, Jean Bertrand Iradukunda, Nasser Musoni, Fabrice Fakir, Maurice Habineza, Omar Ndayisenga and Kassim Ndayisenga.
