Her complexion is cover-girl perfect, and her gorgeous smile is as real as you see it on television. Evelyne Umurerwa is a news anchor with the Rwanda Television (RTV).

Umurerwa, who joined RTV in 1997, brought star power to the channel. By then, she was famous for ‘Tele Détente’ programme. And today, she is more famous for ‘The Break Fast Show’, ‘Women Development’, and for Kinyarwanda news.

She is one of the long serving presenters on RTV. Umurerwa says that she uses her status as a public figure to inspire people, especially the youth and women. She is married, and a mother of two beautiful daughters.

When she is not busy in the studio, or in the field, Umurerwa enjoys spending time at home with her family, and loves exercising. She cites swimming, and jogging among her favourite sports.
