Police                 v      Kibuye

Military            v       Mukura

New entrants Electrogaz Fc have declared their intention to shock the league’s oldest club Kiyovu SC when the two sides meet this afternoon at Amahoro stadium.

It’s the first meeting of any sort between the two clubs and the second league fixture for both teams who opened their league campaign with contrasting fortunes in midweek.

Despite losing 0-1 to Rayon Sport, Electrogaz were the dominant side in Gitarama but lack of sharp strikers was to blame for their failure to earn even at least a point.

While Kiyovu, the oldest club in the league, kicked off their campaign with a deserved 2-1 victory over Marines in Nyamirambo.

However, with players like goalkeeper John Mukasa and striker Hamisi Bagumaho on Electrogaz side facing their former club, today’s game should be a yard stick for what both sets of fans should expect during the course of the season.

The two players know their former club in and out and so they would be expected to lead their new-found employers from the front and at the back.

As for Kiyovu, their new strike partnership of Jean Claude Bigirimana from Rayon Sport and Evariste Mutuyimana from Kenya’s Sofapaka should be a handy for Electrogza defenders.

"We just lacked sharp strikers in the game against Rayon Sport but that has been solved and I hope my strikers won’t be as wasteful as they were on Wednesday.

"We were the better team against Rayon and hopefully we would do the same tomorrow (today),” Electrogaz coach Abdul Mbarushimana said yesterday.

He added, "We a better team and the target is not only winning tomorrow’s (today) game but to do better throughout the course of the season.”

How opposite number of Kiyovu, Andre Kasambogo said, "Iam keen on using the same team that played and won against Marine.

I’ve told the players about the importancy of winning tomorrow’s (today) game and I sure they’re prepared for the challenge.

Elsewhere today, defending champions APR plays away to Marine in Gisenyi at Umuganda stadium, Police hosts Kibuye at Mumena stadium while Military battles Mukura at Kanombe stadium.
