NYAGATARE - The State Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, Dr. Mathius Harebamungu, has said that a vast majority of the classrooms construction programmes country-wide will beat the December deadline set by the government.

Harebamungu said this in an interview with The New Times last week after inspecting construction works at Rurenge Secondary School in Nyagatare district.

‘It’s very promising that different stake holders are working exceptionally hard to ensure that they beat the deadline. Most of the construction works have reached advanced stages,’ Dr. Harebamungu said.

‘At different places I have visited country-wide, schools which are still behind have at least completed 50% of the construction works. We are optimistic that we shall have completed by December this year,’ he said.

The minister called on parents to always contribute towards their children’s education.
