RWANDA’S national rugby team, the Silverbacks is set to tour Hong Kong in March next year to participate in the major International World 10s competitions. Former Sharks player and Coach David Hughes who is the man behind Silverbacks’ trip told Times Sport yesterday that the team will play in two major competitions, Hong Kong Rugby 10s and Kowloon Rugby Fest 10s which are professional and semi-professional tournaments respectively.

"The aim of this tour is to show the world how far Rwandan rugby has come,” Hughes said.
Hughes further added that his main goal is to have the Silverbacks playing in Hong Kong 7s which is a premier tournament in the IRB Sevens World Series in the rugby union after five years.
Rwanda Rugby federation vice president in charge of technical affairs, Gerald Nsenga said yesterday that they are looking forward to effective and early preparations.
"We have several tournaments to participate in before heading to Hong Kong and I believe we will raise a good team for the tour,” Nsenga said.
