WITH a massive task awaiting Amavubi this Saturday; fans are sharply divided on whether it is feasible for Rwanda to secure a ticket for the 2010 Africa Nations Cup (CAN) in Angola.

Rwanda needs to win Zambia’s Chipolopolo by a two-goal margin to qualify but with the team’s recent goal drought, some fans don’t see it happening.

After five Group C games, Amavubi have the worst scoring record in the group after managing to net just one goal.

In the run in to the crunch tie, Amavubi’s head coach Tucak Branko has backed his wasps to do the job tomorrow but big sections of Amavubi fans remain unmoved by the Croat’s promises.

Considering the team’s recent form, many believe that the task may be a little to much for Tucak Branko’s team.

Patrick Kwizera, taxi driver regrettably conceded that Amavubi would lose on Saturday and reckons that the team needs a major overhaul if they are to rediscover their 2003-04 form which saw them play in the 2004 CAN.

Frank Ngoga, a motorist also concedes that Amavubi will not qualify for the show piece but backed the team to win 2-1.
Aimable Ndayisaba, a teller with one of Kigali’s bank is optimistic Amavubi will get the two-goal margin to qualify for Africa’s biggest football show piece.
