I’m pleased to know that the US Government has vowed to continue pressurising the International Community to join hands and help remove the insurgents of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda out of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

If what the US Government Representative to the Great Lakes Region, Dr. Howard Wolpe, said is true, that it "is time the world noticed and condemned the atrocities committed by the FDLR”, then I will say with confidence that the FDLR is on its last legs.

If the US Government is serious about this is ideal, then I expect a UN investigation into the allegations of MONUC collaboration with FDLR. If nothing is done, then I’m afraid that it will be another case of cheap talk.
