Editor,
Yesterday, I went to the Bourbon café in Nyarutarama to enjoy the quick wireless Internet and a lunch of fast food. I pulled out my lap top, connected into their system without a problem. So far so good. The problems begun when I wanted to order.
It seemed as if I was invisible to the waiters. After waiting for twenty minutuies, I forcibly called a waiter to my table. I ordered an ice-cream and guess what? It took another fifteen munites to get it. I complained to the floor manager about that.
After about an hour of surfing, I decided to order lunch. This time I got my burger fast. But, horror, there was a fat housefly right in the middle.
I didn’t say much, because I was too hungry, so I pushed it aside, and begun eating my meal. After I had my fill, I asked the same manager why I had a fly in my food. And that was when I was impressed.
The manager apologised, refused my money, and even offered a drink on the house.
I understand that there will be mistakes, that’s normal. But the way he reacted made me feel like they actually cared about me. And that is why I will return there again.
