Last week was the national Road Safety Week. Police was all over the roads and highways trying to remind you and the drivers about the importance of minding your safety…on the roads. The exercise was not aimed at only taxi drivers and taxi motor-cyclists or even bus and special hire drivers.

It aimed at all road users. Yes, even you who use the road pavements on your Footsbishu (legs) as a pedestrian.

This is an exercise that should not be taken for granted as it aims at protecting you, the passengers, and cyclists, anyone who uses the roads. And by anyone, that should mean everyone.

Some passengers in a bid to catch up with the time they lost due poorly managing it in the first place, tend to want to rush the driver or motorcyclist.

In the case of a driver, when other passengers keep silent and if he/she is careless, might take the others’ silence for a ‘yes’ and step harder on the acceleration pedal.

The Road Safety Week as our feature points out, was meant to remind you of your right to speak out against anything that might put your life in danger.

You would rather reach late but safe rather than delay in a hospital or reach quicker to your maker in case of an accident.

About the rest of the magazine, it seems the Bird Hunter has managed to curb his Alpha-noia while the Sharpshooter seems to have called the same Alpha to a duel.
