Singer/ songwriter Rafiki Mazimpaka has revealed details of his upcoming second album. The singer, who goes by his stage name Coga, said the 10 album track is scheduled for release early next year, and some of the tracks on the album will include ‘Bagambe’.

The singer, who goes by his stage name Coga, said the 10 album track is scheduled for release early next year, and some of the tracks on the album will include ‘Bagambe’.
The 25-year-old has gained popularity both at home and in the region. "My music is aimed at helping people enjoy dancing to African rhythms,” Rafiki says. "The message in my songs is about life, work, collaboration and keeping the pride of our culture.”
Rafiki, who joined Rwanda’s music industry in 1998, has released more than 12 singles and one album. His album "Icyambere”, literally translated to mean (Genesis), was launched in September, 2008.
He has performed in several concerts and festivals, including the 2007 Afro-Caribbean Festival in the Caribbean.
The ‘Igikosi’ singer has also performed alongside world’s renown musicians, like P-Square, Brick and Lace, Sean Paul and Shaggy.
Rafiki is currently on the region’s top 10 music charts, and has collaborated with East Africa’s famous musicians, including Jose Chameleone, Professor Joy, and Nameless.
The twice Pearl of African Music Awards winner is very eager to promote Rwanda’s music industry, and to take his music to the heights. He has formed a live band which performs on various known events.
Rafiki is known for his own music style ‘Coga style’ music, which has a similarity with Afrobeats.
