Nyarugenge Commercial Court was yesterday scleduled to hear a case between Sulfo Rwanda and Nicolous Muntz ,a Kacyiru resident for allegedly failing to pay Rwf 5m in garage charges.

Both Sulfo’s lawyer Alphonse Nsoro and Mikil Ananad in charge of Sulfo garage did not give details.

The trial which did not commence yesterday because the defence side was not ready was postponed to January 20, 2010.

ICTR to hold 5th colloquium 
The International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), in collaboration with the government of Rwanda will next week hold the fifth colloquium of prosecutors of international criminal tribunals.

The meeting which will be held under the theme ‘International Criminal Justice’ will mainly centre on lessons from the past and the reflections on the future.

District donates rabbits to needy students
Over 50 pupils from the needy families of Rubona primary school in Ruhango district were on Wednesday given rabbits by the district in a move to help them improve their standards of living.

One rabbit per child set up by the district is aimed at helping the needy pupils buy themselves scholastic materials.

Nyagatare district to ban phones in schools
Nyagatare district officials yesterday held a security meeting and agreed to ban the use of mobile phones in secondary schools.

During the meeting, it was revealed that students possessing phones in some schools perform poorly.

Among other things discussed was the fight against drugs.
