BURERA – The Executive Director of Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA), Rose Mukankomeje, has urged students in higher institutions of learning to help with efforts geared towards conserving the national environmental resource base.

She was last week addressing about 450 senior six leavers who had completed a three-week civic training programme (Ingando) at the Nkumba Peace and Leadership Centre in Burera district.

Mukankomeje, challenged students to think about  utilising in a sustainable manner the country’s diverse  natural endowments.

Also present during the function, was the newly appointed president of National Unity and Reconciliation Commission, Dr. Jean Baptiste Habyarimana, and Rectors from different institutions where the students have been admitted.
