In September, the pair stunned the Kenyan crowd after winning the Mombassa International beach volleyball championship. For their effort, they pocketed the ultimate cash prize worth Rwf370.000.
According to Mbonyuwontuma, the pair that has been training at Rubavu is now looking for a replica display in Uganda.
"We are up for it. We have been training hard and hope to perform well in Uganda,” Mbonyuwontuma said.
Besides the pair, Rwanda will field three other teams; Fidele Nyirimana and Eric Gakwaya and two female teams; Emilienne Uwineza-Jeannette Niyigena and Yvette Igihozo- Denise Mutatsimpundu.
The two-day event will attract participants from Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda and hosts Uganda.
