Four months after aiding her to a successful caesarian delivery of quadruplets, medical staff of King Faisal Hospital (KFH) yesterday visited Jeanne d’Arc Mukamana to see the condition of the children.

All the four children seemed to be in a good condition and growing normally after having completed the second phase of immunization.

"There is generally no problem, they are feeding well and have not had any serious illness since we left hospital,” Mukamana said.

"We had many worries of how we would handle the situation of taking care for four children, but since God had given them to us, there was nothing to do, we thank everyone who has supported us in any way,” the mother.

The children’s father Eugene Munyandanguza, said that when he realized his wife had given birth to quadruplets, he had nothing to do but embrace this and support the wife in raising them.

"When I am back from work, I help her to feed them on the recommended infant’s milk formulae, since she doesn’t have enough breast milk for all of them,” he said.

Consolee Maribori, from the maternity department at King Faisal Hospital was amazed on seeing how the infants have grown.

"It is amazing how they have grown so big. We sympathized with the mother about how she would maintain them since it was even her first time to give birth, but she has really proven to be a determined and good mother,” she noted.

"It is so good that the husband is supporting her, otherwise it would be really difficult for her, all husbands should emulate Eugene,” she added.

The mother is a housewife while the father is a pick-up driver.
