GATSIBO - Ninety- nine residents of Kiramuruzi Sector, in Gatsibo District, were on Sunday sworn-in after declaring their allegiance to Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi).
The new members were received during a ceremony to celebrate the party achievements at Kiramuruzi play ground.
The district party chairman, Peter Twahirwa, urged the new members to play a leading role in the reconstruction process of the nation.
During the ceremony, the members cited their achievements in good governance, justice, social welfare and economy.
Twahirwa advised the party faithful to always be exemplary while developing their communities and eradicate poverty.
"It’s our commitment as party members and as the engine of this country’s leadership to act as role models by working hard to develop our nation,” he said.
At the same ceremony, residents who had earlier benefited from One-cow-per-family programme passed on calves to their neighbours.
