Annet Mahoro, a student at the National University of Rwanda (NUR), in the department of Finance, is leading the 12 beauties contesting for Miss East Africa Beauty Pageant in Rwanda (MEABPR). According to the MEAR 2009 website, Mahoro is followed by Viviane Umulisa and Clarisse Nshuti.

According to the MEAR 2009 website, Mahoro is followed by Viviane Umulisa and Clarisse Nshuti.
Mahoro is among the 12 beauty contestants, out of the 40 who had registered for the beauty pageant.
During one-week training, the ladies were trained about different things, including the East African cultures, general knowledge about the region, modelling, and expression. They were also trained about behaviour and answering questions.
Those in the camp, include, Annet Mahoro, Laetitia Umuzayire Miss ISAE 2009, Clarisse Ishimwe, Sabrina Livia Kaganza, Rita Uwera and Cynthia Akazuba former Miss Kigali. Others are Clarisse Vivian Nshuti Umulisa, Sonia Uwimbabazi, Margaret Uwera and Pamela Ngabire.
Today, October 31, will see two beauty queens out of the 15 represent Rwanda in Miss East Africa 2009 beauty contest slated for December in Dar es-Salaam.
