The local governing body, Ferwafa has cautioned national football league clubs against the practice of delaying the returning back of players’ licenses.

The Ferwafa Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa told Times Sport he is frustrated with the poor response of the first division clubs’ failure to return back the players’ licenses before the deadline.

"We had given all clubs to register as well as return back their players’ licenses by Wednesday but it is surprising to find that none has adhered to that rule,” Kalisa said.

Kalisa further added that only three clubs-APR, Etincelles and Atraco have only registered their players but hinted out that they have also failed to return back their players’ licenses a feat which hinders the federation’s activities of preparing a thorough start of the national football league season which is due to kick off on Wednesday.

The national league will be played until November 28th when it will be put on hold to allow the Amavubi stars prepare for the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.
