AFTER losing the first leg of the 2011 U-20 World Cup qualifier against Uganda, the national junior women team has wasted no time in preparing for the return leg.

The team is set to regroup this morning ahead of the November 7 tie.

On Saturday, Rwanda was undone by a late goal from the junior She-Cranes captain Christine Wanyana. Wanyana’s clinical free-kick gave the hosts a 2-1 victory.

AS Kigali striker Saida Ntagisanimana had equalized for Rwanda after Habibu Namalwa had given Uganda a first half lead.

The U-20 team coach Andreas Spier insists that time is not on their side. "We opted to enter camp straight away because we have a lot of things we need to work on,” he said.

Spier is certain Rwanda can see off Uganda in the return leg. "I think we have a good squad to push us into the next round.”

Rwanda needs to win before dreaming of a clash with Zambia in the next round.

Germany will host the 2011 U-20 World Cup.
