Right Guards vs Young Tigers

Right Guards open their MM Industries 20/20 campaign with a serious test against their new rivals Young Tigers at Kicukiro oval this afternoon.

Guards hope to field a strong side now that most of their players are through with their national exams.

‘I think we shall have a full squad to challenge for top honours in this tournament because most of our players are back from school,’ the club’s vice captain Emma Byiringiro said.

Guards have a lot to play for after suffering two defeats against their break- away club in a space of  seven months.

Meanwhile, Young Tigers’ captain Andre Kayitera is optimistic his side can go home with maximum points.

‘We are in good form and were just unfortunate to lose to KCC,’ Kayitera said.

Earlier in the day, Kigali Cricket Club will be hunting for their second victory as they clash with Challengers.

KCC enjoyed a fine start when they trounced Young Tigers and they will be looking to top up that perfomance with yet another win today.
