IZUBA, The New Times Publications’ sister Kinyarwanda newspaper becomes Tri-Weekly today- coming out three times in a week.

The vernacular paper was launched on August 16, starting as a bi-weekly. It immediately started reporting news from across the country.

Izuba, which means the ‘Sun’ in Kinyarwanda will now, be published every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

The New Times Managing Editor, David Gusongoirye said on Friday that Izuba has made positive impact among its readers.

"We hope to do even better because the response from our readers is very impressive,” Gusongoirye said.

He said the paper will gradually increase its frequency from a Tri-weekly to eventually a daily next year.

Izuba’s editor Joseph Gaaga said the newspaper distributes 2000 copies and the demand from the readers is still high.

He expressed optimism that the paper would grow and increase the number of copies to cover the entire country.
