According to the federation first Vice president, Gerard Nsenga, the event has been rescheduled for December to give players ample time to prepare for the Kampala event.

"We realized that we need more time to put together a strong team for this competition so we are putting everything else on hold,” said Nsenga noting that plans to crown national league champions Buffaloes has also been delayed.
He also refuted reports that some league clubs had clashed over the league standings.
Jean Pierre Ugeziwe, RRF secretary general earlier said that Sharks, Gorillas and UNR Grizzlies were grumbling over some league scores.
