Uganda v Rwanda
RWANDA’S U-20 junior football team departs for Kampala this morning, three days before their crucial 2011 World Cup qualifier against Uganda’s junior She-Cranes.
The Saturday tie will be staged at Nakivubo stadium.
The 24-man contingent which leaves by road includes eighteen players, four coaches, a physio and an official from the local football governing body, Ferwafa.
After the team’s final training session yesterday, head coach Grace Nyinawumuntu admitted that she expects Uganda to play a physical game on Saturday.
"I have no doubt in my team but I know that the Ugandans will make life hard for us with their physical game. I have told the players to beware,” Nyinawumuntu, who led AS Kigali to last season’s national women league title, said.
Meanwhile, the junior She-Cranes have been rocked by news that they will be without two of their top strikers. Habiba Namalwa and Annet Nanyonga are down with Malaria.
