THE 2009/10 national football league first round gets underway this afternoon.
Defending champions APR open their title defence with a tricky test against Police at Mumena Stadium.
Jimmy Gatete who crossed to Police last week could be back to haunt his offer employers APR who are chasing for their eleventh league title.
APR had the better of Police when they two sides met in last month’s Pre-Season tournament and Erik Paske hopes that his side can still emerge victorious even without their influential duo; Mbuyu Twite and Kabange Twite.
In the other league fixtures, Atraco plays away to Marine at Umuganda stadium, AS Kigali face Mukura at Nyamirambo’s Regional stadium while Etincelles travel to Amagaju.
