HUYE-Three people are being detained at Ngoma Police Station for allegedly dealing in marijuana.
Paul Ndayisenga was caught red-handed by local defence personnel with a packet of marijuana near the National University of Rwanda’s main gate.
"I have been dealing in drugs for about two months, it is the only way I could earn a living,” the youthful Ndayisenga confessed.
Police said that after being interrogated, Ndayisenga exposed two of his colleagues in the trade who were also rounded up. The trio resides in the town suburb of Tumba.
Authorities said investigations continue in order to determine the source of the illicit drugs that have been responsible for the increase in crime in Butare town.
