URUGWIRO VILLAGE - Brigadier General Richard Rutatina has been appointed as the Security and Defence Advisor to the President.

According to a communiqué from the Office of the President, Brig Rutatina takes over from Brig Jean Bosco Kazura who was redeployed to army headquarters.

Francis Gatare was also appointed as the Principal Private Secretary to the President.

Before his new appointment, Gatare was the Chief Economist and deputy Head of the Strategy and Policy Unit in the President’s Office.

Prior to his move to Urugwiro Vilage, Gatare also served as the Principal Deputy CEO of Rwanda Development Board (RDB).
