Among the rules is that each team taking part in the two-day championship is expected field two teams (boys and girls).
The competition, the first of its kind to be organized is expected to attract teams from all corners of the country including clubs, public and private institutions, the army, the national police as well as schools and institutions of higher learning.
Eliminations at the district have already got underway with the Good Governance competitions countrywide.
"We want the event to be well regulated and organized. Because it is ground for selecting the next national team,” said Alphonse Manirarora, RAF Permanent Secretary.
Participants would compete in both track and field events ranging from 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 10.000m, 4x100, 4x400 relays, high, high and triple jump, javelin as well as short-put.
The best athletes in each discipline from different primary and secondary schools at the eliminatory round would represent their respective Provinces at the December 8-9 finals at Amahoro national stadium, Remera.
