THE National football federation (Ferwafa), in collaboration with World Soccer Governing Body, FIFA has organised a week long training course for sport administrators. The clinic starts this morning at the Top Tower Hotel in Kigali.

The objective of the six-day seminar is to update the club administrators on some of the latest innovations and other pertinent issues related to football.

Major topics that will be extensively discussed during the course of the week are administration and organisation of a club, fan clubs, technical development of a club, planning, communication and marketing.

The training programme will feature a diverse range of FIFA and its development activities, types of clubs, statutes, rules and regulations, competitions and general management.

It will be conducted by one of FIFA’s top instructors, Manga Mounguengui Alain Pierre (Gabon), who will be assisted by Augustin Ndjoya (Cameroon) and Remy Dawile Nabina Sebutu (DR Congo).

The course is part of FIFA’s Win in Africa with Africa Programme, which was launched shortly after South Africa was chosen to host the 2010 World Cup finals.

Twenty-four (presidents and Secretary Generals) participants drawn from elite league clubs and some staff from Ferwafa Secretariat are expected to attend this training programme.

All twelve national football league clubs would be represented at the seminar which runs until Saturday.

The club managers’ course follows the referees and assistant referees which wound up over the weekend at Alpha palace hotel.

The beneficiaries of the course included 30 referees and assistant referees were tutored referees Assistance program, how to enforce capacity of Rwandan referees in the FIFA development plan and reforming FIFA rules, theoretical and practical lessons and using advanced and modern technology.
