No Africa Cup trophy in Rwanda

RWANDA football federation, Ferwafa is still green on whether they will host the trophy for the 2010 Orange Nations Cup in Angola.

The Ferwafa vice president Veduste Kayiranga told Times Sport that the federation has not received any confirmation.

"We are yet to know if the trophy will go through Rwanda but we are certain about hosting next year’s Fifa World Cup trophy in November,” Kayiranga said.

The Fifa World Cup trophy will have a three-day tour in Kigali starting November 9 as part of its 86-day tour across the globe.

Uganda will be one of seven Africans countries to hosts the Afcon trophy.

Others include; Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Malawi and Angola hosts of next year’s Orange African cup of nations.

Three-time African Player of the Year Abed Pele will accompany the trophy to Kampala next Thursday.
