AMAVUBI head coach Tucak Branko has warned Algeria not to expect an easy encounter against Rwanda this Sunday.

The two sides have everything to play for when they clash in the crunch 2010 World Cup/ Africa Nations Cup qualifier at Blida’s Tchaker Stadium-50km southeast of Algiers.

According to elmoudjahid.com, Branko was quoted saying that the visitors would show their true colours.

"We have been a little unfortunate during the campaign sometimes losing when a draw would have been a more fair result but we still have everything to play for and we are going to play our hearts out,” the Croat said.

"We did not deserve to lose our home game to Egypt. Even the away defeat against Zambia was a little harsh but this is a different game and we are going out to show everybody what we can do on pitch.”

Amavubi will be without the injured duo of Said Abedi Makasi and Olivier Karekezi.

Makasi, who plays his football in Morocco, aggravated a knee injury on Saturday while Karekezi is sidelined for four weeks after undergoing surgery on his right thigh.  

The other omission is Mbuyu Twite who was surprisingly overlooked by Branko.

While Rwanda fight to keep their CAN hopes alive, Algeria know that victory this Sunday will take them closer to South Africa, the venue for the 2010 World Cup.

Algeria tops the group with 10 points. African champions Egypt are second on seven points, three more than Zambia and six clear of Rwanda.

With Egypt and Zambia playing tomorrow, Algeria and Rwanda will play their game well aware of what is at stake.
